From Tennessee to TV

Born and raised in Waxhaw, North Carolina,

Noah Cornelius originally wanted to be a singer. Shortly after graduating high school in 2019, he enrolled at Belmont University in

Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his music dreams. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck halfway through his freshman year, Noah returned to North Carolina and took a year off from college. Driving forklifts to get by, Noah's goals changed during the break. Leaving the music industry behind, Noah is now a budding news and sports reporter after transferring from Belmont University to Appalachian State University.

Life in the Fast Lane

Growing up watching NASCAR, Noah has always had a passion for motorsports. So, when NASCAR was one of the first sports to return to action during the COVID-19 pandemic, Noah became hooked—just like when he was a kid. Shortly thereafter, Noah made it his goal to combine his love for NASCAR with his passion for storytelling. A proud alumnus of the

NASCAR Diversity Internship Program, Noah has done everything from public relations, social media management, podcast hosting, and television reporting all covering NASCAR's recent resurgance. Recently, Noah also had the privilege of interning with FOX Sports, assisting with the creation of NASCAR RaceHub and NASCAR Race Day programming.

For WASU, Noah hosted two radio hours a week, talking to listeners and playing the most popular, chart-topping alternative songs. He also worked closely with WASU's sports department as a

play-by-play/color commentator.
